Love

Ryan Lowery
1 Corinthians 13:1-13

Paul talks about what Godly love is, the fact that love defines maturity in Christ, and how love should be at the center of every Christian walk.

Living with Hope

Scott Risley
1 Thessalonians 4:9-5:11

In God's plan for humanity, we were never meant to experience death, but since Adam and Eve sinned, we all have or will experience the evil of death. But Christians do not need to fear death as Scripture is clear, when we die, we go immediately to be with Jesus. Jesus promises to someday come back to earth to gather together those who have put their faith in Him, and take us to heaven, whether we have already died or are still alive on earth. Then the Tribulation period will begin.

Fervent Love

Ben Foust
1 Peter 4:7-11

Peter is encouraging Christians to have a fervent love for one another, even in the midst of trials. This present suffering is not the whole picture. Having an eternal focus allows us to endure trials and exert effort to love others, which brings glory to God.

God's Love

Phil Franck
1 Corinthians 13:1-8

Love is a commitment to give of oneself for the good of another through the power of God. After listing what love is and is not, Paul sums it all up by saying love is more important than all the spiritual gifts that the Spirit bestows upon Christians. They are worthless without love. It is by our love, not our gifting , that people will know we are his disciples.

Responding to Slander

Ben Foust
1 Peter 3:8-16

Peter challenges us to live a life that a watching world is compelled to demand an explanation for the hope they see in us. And we are to have ready a well-reasoned explanation that points to Jesus.

Keep On Praying

Patrice McCormac
Luke 18:1-8

Praying at all times and not losing heart is the refusal to accept a situation "as is." Persistent prayer is the acknowledgement that God is powerful enough to change things and is loving enough to be willing to intervene. He went to great lengths to open a way for us to have a relationship with Him, proving His desire to hear from us.

Spritual Friendships

Scott Risley
1 Thessalonians 2-3

Spiritual friendships are awesome but Satan and suffering can be serious threats to our friendships. As we help each other grow in our relationship with God and each other, we can strengthen the friendship. We are called to increase and abound in love for one another and for all people.

Serving Love and Sexuality

Dennis McCallum
1 Thessalonians 4:1-5

Even secular studies confirm that God's standard for sexual integrity is the best way to go. The cultural beliefs about sex and marriage are overwhelmingly refuted by research data. The biblical path leads to a God-centered marriage where sexual love is reserved for marriage, where both spouses are growing toward God first , then toward each other.

Using Freedom for Love

Ryan Lowery
1 Corinthians 9:19-24

Paul calls for believers to set aside our personal freedoms and strong opinions for the sake of the gospel and showing God's love to others.
